How I Crosshatch, Part 3
In Part 3 of How I Crosshatch, we are going to cause some mayhem. If you thought crosshatching was a slow, meticulous, and ultra-technical affair, be ready to break some rules. We are now going to explore a messier, looser, and above all faster kind of crosshatching. It is my favorite approach, and I cannot wait to share it with you.
While the majority of the course will be about loosening up and speeding things up, we will also explore what digital tools have to teach us when it comes to crosshatching. For one hour and thirty minutes, I will show you the best brush for crosshatching using Procreate, and we will create two portraits.
Added to this, I will show you some of the ideal pens for crosshatching besides ballpoint pen. We will make portraits in fountain pen, Pigma Micron pens, and pencil.
With 8 hours and 30 minutes of video with English subtitles available, this ultimate volume of How I Crosshatch will give you the resources to fit crosshatching into your lifestyle.
Just like Part 1 and 2, it is a self-paced course, so you can take as much time as you need to dwell on exercises and use the templates I am providing to help you kick start your drawings.
We will share our work on social media under the hashtag #drawalongwithfrance, and we will meet for 2 live sessions (September 3rd & 17th, 2022, at 2PM Eastern; video of these sessions will be added to the Course for those who can’t attend or who wish to re-watch).
